Uk.shop.com is a cleaver scam after 3years no pay out. The problem is if you bring someone in the business and they drop out you loses 1000 BV business volume which pays cash so far after 3 years I have seen nothing upset my friends buy bring them in the business also my charity and its all lies I feel know its time every one who been scammed in Britain need to take attaction and report them to save others being suck in market America and JR as he call Himself sham on him the biggest scammer of them all If you any sence ware you friend your Church stay clear.

I registered for my baby shower through shop.com to help out a friend with her shop.com/market America business and did not receive items that were ordered except for 1...and that item arrived damaged. I called right away and asked for a replacement/exchange and was told that I could be issued a refund...but hello it's a gift registry so I didn't order the item for myself.

It took 4 emails and calls to finally get nothing and know nothing. As for the items that were ordered off of my registry but not received by me...they said I would need to contact my baby shower guests, find out who ordered what and collect order numbers from my guests THEN market America could attempt to find out what happened to the orders...ummm what? It's a gift registry hosted by shop.com, why can't they see orders that were placed? That's a terrible system and they should not offer this service.

I spoke to several reps who were all as equally unable to assist as the last. Very upsetting and just plain wrong and unhelpful.

Stay away from Market America

Typical MLM. I was sold by the biggest scammer of them all, Dani Canubas.

They don't tell you the fine details and you end up just trying to recruit people to make money and your auto buy just keeps increasing. Products are decent but the way they have it set up, you will lose money. If you try to do things a different way like just focus on the products, they will NOT support you and you will fail. I was active and had a number of people on both my left and right side, received 2 $300 checks but that was it.

If someone doesn't do their FORM 1000, you lose all BV. IBV is near impossible to achieve. You have to recruit all the time and basically be very vague to get people in. That to me is a scam.

We have all left and I'm just mad at myself for going against my gut.

Could not get their Isotonic product out of the bottle after a month or two, due to it having coagulated with moisture. Although they sell via resellers and Amazon-- and their packaging holds quantities that last long over 30 days-- they only offer product support if purchased direct from them and within 30 days. Phone support is robot-like. I recommend finding another source for nutraceuticals. Separately, I am curious as to why this site requires one hundred word minimum in order to post a review. Why would you have supplements for more than 30 days anyway. If you are taking them regularly, that wouldn't happen.

Agree. If bought from another site such as amazon or a non market America site you take full responsibility for sub part product. ANY company (like Latisse, obagi, rodan + fields, avon, melaluka) will tell you to stay away from amazon because the product you are getting from them is either counterfeit or damaged and to only order such product from official sites

If you purchased from a "reseller" or Amazon why would you expect Market America to resolve your issue? You should go back to the seller.

My wife and I partnered with Market America 20 years ago. Not only did the products help me with some health issues but the business has allowed my wife and I to stay home and raise our children. I had a business when I was introduced to Market America and I understood the work and time needed to make a business successful. The difference with Market America's business is the work I was doing was not as stressful or as time consuming as my previous business. When you partner with Market America there is no promise of sit back, do nothing and make money. Just like everything else you do, if you put the time and work into your business the results will come. What I have found in any business I have done is workers work and non workers complain.

I always loved and respected the Chinese but I have seen a lot of underhanded sneaky things done by them. Market America makes you think they are the answer for everything in life and meanwhile they are the opposite and take advantage of good people and turn them into greedy parasites like Jim Jones and Jr..

business as we know it has evolved. go read a book, about finances these days, they all tell you that network marketing is a big deal nowadays. as for the products, ma products are only the best stuff, have you tried the vitamins? or are you just assuming because its different, crawl out from under your rock dude..... they get paid off of the advertisement dollars that companies normally spend on tv advertisements.... but how many people skip commercials nowadays? you have your opinion- which is fine, just giving you a headsup that if you had what it takes, you'd be sucessfull. just go back to your day job, keep making your ceo rich without questioning. remind me again, who makes more money, you or the ceo? and the few managers in between? do they make more than you, but less than the ceo? so if we were to draw it out on paper, wouldnt that be the shape of a triangle? yet pyramid's are bad right? who puts out the most effort, and gets paid the least? who does the least but makes the most? yet this is ok with people... cause thats the way its always been.... till now. open your eyes, those guys don't make a dime off recruiting you- nobody does... they only make money after you make money, so naturally they wanted to help you, unforchantly you were to *** and paranoid to realize this. besides the fact that shopping on shop dot com is the exact same products you buy in stores, but you make cash back for buying it from yourself.

Market America is a scam. They had a recall on Bliss, which my used to use and it took them 6 months to explain how the recalled product was shipped.

We are currently trying to cancel the business and they are sending us through hoops to get it cancelled when they continue to take out a monthly fee. SCAM!!

I hear some people complaining about the fact that they were unsuccessful in the MA (Market America) business. What people need to understand is that it is a business and it takes work. Nothing is for free - and just because you sign up, doesn't mean that people are going to pound down your door to buy. You have to work at it. Market America has some great products, but it is up to you to sell. It doesn't matter if you focus on Motives Cosmetics, Health and Wellness or TLS Weight Loss, it takes time and energy to be successful. There is nothing wrong with the program and sales incentives. If you are not committed to giving it your all, you won't be successful. Frankly this is true for any business or venture.

I had an issue with an order and they met my expectations immediately. They were fast to respond, listened, and made me feel appreciated. The products are great and so are the people. Most companies are more intetested in the bottom line than they are with its customers, but not Market America. When they sent me the new products, they also sent a nice personalized note and a free SHOP.COM eGift card to make sure I was completely satisfied. I will continue to order from market America because they have earned my trust and confidence. I highly reccomend this compnay and its products. Well done, Market America.

Waste of time and money

I joined back in 2011 and went to both the World and International Conferences that my upline pressured me into attending. They were essentially pep rallies where they paraded a few successful distributors in front of the audience and supposedly revealed secrets to success that couldn't be obtained anywhere else. What a crock. This company is just like any other MLM. There is nothing special or different. The binomial system that they claim sets them apart from other direct marketing companies is an MLM pyramid structure since everyone needs to recruit at least 2 people below him/her in order to have any chance in *** of making any money. Anyone who has a rudimentary understanding of an exponential function would understand pretty quickly that such a system can't go on forever. Like every other MLM out there, the early birds make all the money and the further down you go down the pyramid, the more likely you will end up with just scraps. Assuming one could find 2 willing partners, the time and money spent in constant training, traveling, and meetings eats up a tremendous amount of time. I can tell you from experience that after about 2 or 3 so-called training sessions, the information just repeats. But the biggest obstacle in making it in this business is that you are trying to sell people products that are overpriced. They say that you are finding out what people's pain is and then "sharing" the product, but in the end it still boils down to selling overpriced goods. Their core products are nutritional supplements that can be found cheaper from other sources. You have to shell out about $150/month on products just to stay active or they drop you and away goes all the accumulated points which they call BV. After a year of this and with all the training and traveling, I racked up about $4,000. Income was next to nothing. Yes, there are people who have made it big in this business but they are a tiny fraction of the total number of distributors - something like 400 millionaires out of 200,000 which comes out to .2%. Most of the distributors barely break even. The company is shrewd, though. They targeted the U.S. Chinese community which tends to have more disposable income and exploited their social connections with relatives back home in China. Bottom line is stay away from this company. Unless you are a super salesperson with lots of rich friends and family, you will most likely be poorer after a year than you were when you started.

A perfect review! Can it work, obviously it does for a few.

I ended up in the hole more than $4000!! Takes a lot of time, knowing a lot of people and a great salesperson finesse. Products are way over priced. Some of them are great but who can afford them?

I went to one meeting, locally. It was just meant to get you hyped for what?

To spend more and more money on products while you waited for those 2 people who were as dumb as you. It was a time of learning for me, unfortunately my lesson is still being paid off 8 years later.

This company will find a way to NOT pay you. I have heard many stories of how people miss checks, and it happened to me, too.

I have been a user of Market America Products for more than 20 years. Very satisfied with their brands and have referred friends to them with very good results. Business wise I have no complaints they have been consistent in their service. Don't confuse Independant contractors with the company.

Recruiting... #1 person is a scam.

I joined MA over 5 years ago. Admitting I was looking for a business that provided products to sell. I looked the online aspect and the idea of moving products online at stores you were already shopping on a daily basis. HOWEVER my sponsor did not tell me about the MA brands. He did not tell me about selling MA brands. Now I take responsibility for not doing my own research. HOWEVER- my sponsor was sponsor by the "Queen" herself. She told him to recruit only 2 people and sell Shop.com, buy 50BV worth of products and you will be at a 6 figure income in 2-3 years. Obviously there is ALOT of work involved with finding the "RIGHT" 2 people who will duplicate but how did she get it so confused with selling products. SOOOO, a few months later, we found out he is working for the #1 person in the company at Market America and suppose to be recruiting for her online. She was 2 of these so called recruiters, one for each side. Interesting how did she make it to be #1 in a company. Too find out she pays for most of her recruits and pushes them to prospect people when she works which is about every 6 months for about 2 months. One thing I learned being in circle with all the high earners. NO ONE new is arriving at that level. Look in the book and YOU MIGHT find ONE who has achieved over National Supervisor Coor. They make that income ONE time after getting their team to buy products to get them all the another lever. SO as you first buy in and go to meetings ask yourself .... how many people are over 7K income level. Sure only 5% make it, BUT if it only requires 2 people duplicating then why is it now more... Just Saying. Give the Queen and her Boe a shout for hiring recruiters...

Make others richer.

The Beauty Advisor (hereon BA) who recruited me was also a newbie. I was “presented the business plan” which I should have ran from, right there. The business plan is very confusing and makes no sense. I now realize it was created by good attorneys with the assistance of sharks. The BAR wanted me to purchase a very expensive kit ($399.00 plus tax and shipping). I said, no. The BA came along and said, “There is a sale going on for a kit until Tuesday, its $150.00 plus shipping and tax”. Trusting her I agreed. I asked the most important questions I needed to know for myself. - Commission. I was told 30% (the Motives Cosmetics catalog states, “up to 40%”). You see the word, “up to”? Good attorneys! -Monthly sales to stay active. 50 BV’s (business volume) 11 IBV’s (internet Business volume) 50 BV’s (Transfer buy) The BA told me that we both would be making $300 in commission on top of our retail commissions of 30%, once we reached our combined 1,200 BV’s. Once I was in, I learned the truth. Commission is not 30%- Some items are 30%-20%-25% and believe it or not 1%. In order to earn the commissions you have to recruit 5 or more people. All of the BV’s go up, which means it goes up to the higher BA’s and they get the commissions on the new recruits. New recruits get nothing for their hard work. You are charged for your site $20 a month and $100 annual subscription fee. When someone makes a purchase from your site you pay out of our commission- the cash back portion of the purchase, portion of the shipping, and PROCESSING FEES. Example- $101 in retails sales, commission 28.40. Now -3.04 Processing fees, -2.03 Cash back fees, -3.76 in shipping fees. Total commission- 19.57 The BV’s are insane. 50BV’s are over $100 depending on what the purchase is. A lip liner retailed at $16.95 with BV of 7. I don’t get the 11 IBV’s- confused. For each order you place there is an “ADMINISTATION FEE” I’d say about 3% of the purchase. The two main reasons I ran- On top of all of the fees, there is the “transfer buy” it is an automatic monthly purchase done my Market America to your credit card. 50BV’s are the required amount. Remember who much that was? About $100.00 a month charged to your credit card. Returns are accepted, for unopened items… with a restocking fee. Remember how much the commission was? Makeup has a high return rate. It didn’t make sense for me to help the 1% get richer, while I was spending more money on selling. Sorry to the grammar ***.

Seems you got upset and just closed your doors to learning about the business. I have been with the business three years now and at first I didn't understand but I did have an opened mind and gave it a year and ever since I've been doing awesome I don't have a crazy amount of people under me and I don't make crazy sales it was simply learning and getting all the trainings I could..

Im sorry to hear your rep was so bad, hoeever saying a business plan is bad because it's confusing only shows you don't understand it. Commissions are 100% as those fees you pay are for distributor rights on exclusive brands.

You buy at distributor price, sell it at recommended price and pocket the difference. As for minimums to stay active, this is so you know what it is your selling and using your own service.

Shop.com sells all daily essentials, you shower and brush your teeth right? Why wouldn't you buy the nessecary products through your own business?

I see them talking about recruiting people after people while making the top more money.. NO. it doesnt matter where u are in the organization its 100% of efforts combined in BV / IBV . You can be my sponsor but i can actaully surpass you . This business gives the An Equal Play Ground for everyone. Its all about your mindset and efforts that determine where your BUSINESS will take you.. you are not at work.. You own a BUSINESS so treat it like one.. and Change your negative mindset!!!

You do not "own a business" you pay market america to sell their products, and in order to even start making money you need to recruit two people who will also pay market america to sell their product and recruit more people. If you have only 1 person under you NO MONEY if you have 2 "legs" and one makes a ton of money and their other makes barely any then you make the commission based on the less successful leg all along you are paying for transfer buys "buying products you would anyway the brainwashed parrot.

Yeah but when I buy things I need anyway I can do so at my leisure and not be forced to buy a certain amount, The overpriced products that you buy from market america are more expensive then the products you would usually buy.

They make you pay for training, pay to go to big global revival style meetings you are bleeding money left and right and your whole business relies on other people because if you lose a leg you are screwed. Its so sad that they tell these people they are business owners and entrepreneurs They are more like sharecroppers

Nonsensical Requirements

When I joined into the Market America, I did not know my Executive Coordinator forced me to enroll for $399 for the starter kit, which it's useless. Also, I did not know the qualifications to run a business, so the ticket costs $30+ for local events, $100+ for regional events, and $500+ for international events, which were costly for the useless presentation.

For starters, the business owner required them to spend over $100 on products and $20 for unless fees, which was why markets are not helpful in saving money. As I conduct a meeting from my friends, the promises of making money turn upside-down. These extravagant expenses take up from my checking account, which was why I need to stay away from the firm forever. When I was at the Core Training with my Executive Coordinator, the training was so intense I obliged to quit Market America because this training takes a lot of time and effort.

The events too, are very sensitive, getting more irrelevant people and friends into the business that are the lack of compassion, dignity, and capacity. They then force them to gather more than 300 people to own the business a week, which is nonsensical. Don't they have many friends than people who are socially but under 300 friends they met in a week so why they want to invite unrelated people into the business? I mean, this is Pyramid Scheme because the number of individuals is growing rapidly, getting more people for money granted for nothing but to make purchases and sell tickets to the minimum people to join events.

Despite on these criticisms, Market America was not the only one that forces you or your friends into the business with an expensive training but also the cost of events were costly, ranging from $1000+ plus travel and airfare. To continue the business, they require upbringing over 150,000 dollars in spending than incomes, not even extra revenue, and compassion, which wastes time and efforts. In outcome, the requirements for moving up into the level are extremely time-consuming and wastes a lot of money for nothing. The conditions are very nonsensical because no one will spend over $300,000 when reaching to the top-level, especially when people were taking their money by paying for the service.

Regrettably, a lot of users ended up in severe debts in the bank accounts, so they are no guarantee to get their money back, so they decided to quit Market America forever. I did finally cancel my account.

First off, you shouldn't have spent money not knowing anything about the business. The kit isn't useless, it gives you products to try, along with it opening your banks, AND there are two cheaper options you can choose from too.

This company does NOT require you to sponsor 300 people a week.

That's insane, nor do they require you to go to events. You can if you'd like to, but it's ALL write offs on your taxes. Hotels, flights, cars, food, tickets.

It helps you learn more and grow.

Also if you knew anything about this company it isn't a pyramid scheme, it isn't even a MLM as there's 100% commissions on EVERY level, there isn't a cap. Please learn more about the company you're leaving a hateful comment on because everything you claim is false.

HII agree with the poster who replied previously. The person who brought you in must be a very bad apple.

The 599 start uo kit is nothing when you think about what a traditional franchise costs. Also you don't pay MA any royalties - they pay you!

To call this a pyramid is absolute slander because it is not.

It is a franchise without the limitations of a franchise, with a unique binary structure The products are very high quality and they WORK. Find a proper sponsor and attend a business presentation.

Please go into detail as to how MA is a "franchise without the limitations of a Franchise". That would be helpful. What would also be helpful would be as to detail what products do they offer that are of "very high quality".

I am sorry that you feel about MA like this. Whoever sponsored you was definitely a bad apple and that made you feel this way.

We are not a pyramid because in a pyramid, you will not be able to earn 100% of the volume you peoduced. Also, you do not have to go to all the events. You can pick and choose which to go to. At the end of the year, you can write off all the spending so really you don't waste your money.

As for the extra $20 a month you said useless. Not true because that $20 is for MA to manage your 8 websites that you use regularly. No companies will ask $20 to manage your websites.

Hope you can give a better review once you understand the structure and concepts of MA.

My friend has been doing this for a year she makes 2700 a week. It doesn't pay quickly takes time.

She brought in 6 partners now they make 1200-**** or so a week. It all depends on your spencer. If you get a crap sponcer they don't teach you any tricks to make money off the system. Get a good sponcer you will do fine.

I think the reality is that products might be tricking the customer so think about the service before they can accept the product. Use common scene and don't get scammed. I said to stay away from the service.
