JR Ridinger claims that he is working a 45 year plan for everyone to get on a 2-3 year plan... lol... have you see his wealth and the fact that Market America (MA) is 93% owned by him. There is no questions that MA takes more than the Lion's share of profits. And the methodology in how the mass money flows to the Ridinger family instead of everyone else is the true definition of Multi-level-marketing (MLM).

MA can argue to days end in saying that every organization is a pyramid based on a bottom heavy base-level worker systems but that is only one aspect, and not necessarily the bad part. At the end of the day governments from all countries categorizes MA as a MLM, Iโ€™m not smart enough to overrule this fact and neither was MA ever able to officially deny this label.

The worse part of MLMs is the fact that the MLM company utilizes the trust that people have in their members to sell unfairly prices or unproven and under-regulated products. Take Isotonix as an example, because regulations on supplements are loose and may not require testing for valididty for their claims on effectiveness, claim about its superiority over traditional solid tablets and pills cannot be governed (i.e. see link: http://vitamins.lovetoknow.com/all-about-vitamins/isotonic-vitamins).

But the topic here is integrity right? Iโ€™ll use a quote from your favorite COO, Marc Anthony... (integrity?) โ€œyou guys all excite to hear about that? But wait, we will get to that laterโ€ first, lets lay out some facts....

Your success rate is actually less than a half-a-percent .... 99.6% of ppl who join MLMs loses money.... but good to know that those ppl going on stage at conferences and seminars made enough money off other failed ppl in order to join the 0.4% club. Of the people making money (i.e. the 0.4%) half of the ppl make between $1-$1000 a year. Isnโ€™t that a super 2-3year plan, Iโ€™m excited about that type of residual income ... sure covers for a year of in inflation. But wait? If you need to work 2-3 years to cover one year of inflations your employer might have a better program than that..lol, my employer does and all it took was for me to do a decent job at work. And btw, the less than 5-20 extra hours I put towards my day job and developing my career has earned me several promotiona and the development of a viable pension plan ...and that is of course additional to the inflation coverage I always receive.

Here's a small bit about MAโ€™ers saying that every organization is a pyramid ... not really... ppl go to work to get paid. Ppl work on a 3 month probation/training period and they still get paid during tha period. MLMs require capital investment, you pay for the training and resources to help them make more money off you. Most of all, ppl don't go to their day jobs to expect a 0.4% chance of making any money....

On the topic of compensation lets look at MAโ€™s compensation model. Consider next time when you see the so call lucrative BV/IBV/or whatever the name MA calls itโ€™s to avoid the word commission ... next time you see that number, its just your cut from MAโ€™s ridiculously over priced products. The magical product they call Isotonix OPC-3 can be found at any drug store for "1/2 the Price or less" miracle health product? How about the words from JR Ridinger's own mouth .... โ€œselling you the belief" of a miracle. Actually, there are no scientific studies or proof that its better than tablets or pills on the other hand tablets containing OPC-3 content is less than 30% of their Isotonix OPC3 cost, so you tell me where the BV comes from? With their payout system, the BV you get from selling might not even be paid out to you due to the payout tier and binary qualifying system.

Meanwhile, MA insists that they are not MLM (multi โ€“level-marketing) or Pyramid (scheme) ... I really don't care what anyone calls it ... but the fact is... the compensations schedule is created with locks to ensure that your efforts and those producing under do not fully benefit from the efforts expended. Remember, you don't get paid until both of your "legs" reach a certain level, so good luck if you are only one-leg-profitable. Traditional MLMs have decreasing tiers of commission and that is the pre-reincarnated MLM scheme, but MAโ€™s profit locking system is their binomial system (i.e. 2 legs) and their business unit cap ... See? Same stench, different fish!

At the end of the day housewives, disadvantaged ppl with less education or lofty dreaming unemployed students are these MLM targets. Why? Because of their weaknesses affiliated with their life-stage or situation. There may be no denying that the above groups are somewhat victimized by their greed, ignorance and/or insecurity. Or, you might just be greedy and unethical to start with, if you truly understand the system and still want follow its ways of making money.

Ah yes the topic of being ethical.... And how about MA's new initiative to attack the lower tier income families? Now they are offering cheaper start-up packages ... just think! Now poor people have a chance to get even less on their kitchen table, no worries, at least they will have JR's belief to fill their children's stomach. Of course the light at the end of the tunnel is if someone poor can find more ppl to scam (i.e. other poor ppl within their social class), maybe a few 100 poverty families should do it. Wait, weโ€™re talking about poverty group purchasing cheaper start-up packages, so make that a few 1000 in order to make it rich.

Hey UFOs (unfranchised owners), you must be thinking that because I know so many of your terms that I might be a failed-former member. Nope... I am just one of those ppl that JR tells you to avoid... ppl too smart to join MA (but just dumb enough to keep my friends, family and morals safe from MA/MLM profit grabbing antics and brainwashing).

Donโ€™t get me wrong, I found the word conference for which I attended to be highly entertaining especially JRโ€™s monkey show at the end and when those high income earners go on stage. But I wonder, do those nice ppl who tear up on stage every year really just become perpetually and annually emotionally about making money? Or was it the thought of the lies they told, the friends they lost, the ppl that they failed and the change in their own morals that makes them cry every time. And then there are the other usual slick salesman types that goes on stage and we canโ€™t get enough of. But we would be really running off track if we get started with that topic.

OK, back from Marc Ashleyโ€™s quote (see above), the moment youโ€™ve been waiting for! The question about integrity ...Other than the many questionable aspects noted above, in 2011, MA COO, Marc Ashley himself โ€“ when asked how much does an average MA member earn, said โ€œ$60,000 a year.โ€ Interestingly enough, during that year MA had 180,000 member. His audience then asked, โ€œif you multiple the two numbers ($60,000 x 180,000members) its $10.8-billion and that far exceeds there salesโ€ for that year. In fact, it is even more than 3-time their total sales in for 2013 which was has since increased from 2011. Head down and facelessly Mr. Ashley responded โ€œlet me go back and check the math.โ€ But hey! donโ€™t just take this all from me... the source of my info are from a Bloomberg article in 2011... Iโ€™m sure I missed other issues about the company that might interest you. So guys, maybe you should check the article out too (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/11_27/b423506****806.htm).

Think again everyone... with a 99.6% failure rate, recommending your friends to make money at the Casino might be the lesser of evils (sarcasm intended)... for those who canโ€™t resist the allure of knowing about the 0.4% of ppl running onto the stage to say they are making money and you can too..... and you feel the urge to start spending (i.e. turn spending into earning) โ€ฆ โ€œknow your limits, and spend within itโ€ (i.e. your limits for losing money, personal relationships and your reputation).

And if you are ready, call up your local MAโ€™er and hand over your facebook account and everyone on your contact list because your soon to be senior partner wants to give everyone you know this great business opportunity. Letโ€™s help them make money, oh yeah you can make just as much or more if you embrace this model and do the same to others (yep, sarcasm intended)....

Thanks for the informative comment. do you know of any source to get "all" of the information?

I was suckered into attending a sales pitch, but I couldn't get any facts. I would get all of the information after I paid my $495.... I would love to get all of the details so I could discuss it more intelligently with the people that have signed up that I was friend with.

Everything is so "secretive". Did Obama learn his definition of transparency from these people?

Where can I find OPC 3 for half the price? I love the product and would appreciate a response.

What exactly is your definition of "failure" because I know just about everyone on my team is earning checks. It might not be millions but they have made their money back as well as helping countless friends and family with the products.

Preach! Market America is horrible!

It changes people entirely and it makes me sad how youths are targeted with this business scam. My so-called "friend" tried to recruit me and at first, I was interested until they wanted me to spend 700 dollars to go to Miami for this conference and kept pestering me about it and lecturing me about the trip everytime I attended the meeting. It was highly annoying and I hated how the meetings weren't even meetings. They were just repeating the same stuff over and just making people all hype.

It felt like I was in those cult churches where everybody is kneeling and praising the speaker. It was freaky. Lol, I think the funny part of the experience was that my so-called "friend" stopped talking to me when I wasn't having it and had the nerve later on to try to sell me products. Needless to say, I don't talk to that person.

market America makes people lower their standard and stoop so low that it's amusing and entertaining to see what petty, desperate people can be when they want to make big money the "easy" way. At least with a regular job, you get paid.

You gotta wait until like Hailey's comet to come to make money from MA. What a joke.

The business does seem to work for some, how is that possible? Do some people have the drive to make it work, and most people don't?

funny... nobody who disagrees has anything to argue.... I guess they are voting negative because they don't like ppl hearing the truth.
