One of my sentences is unclear: "The above mentioned investors do not seem to actively endorse MA and they probably only let less informed...".

It should state that "MA probably only lets less informed members draw unsubstantiated conclusions to the business after dropping their names and hinted involvement."

It is the duty of any intelligent, responsible adult to challenge any claims or statements and to distinguish what is an opinion from fact.

One can forgive a child for not doing so and reacting emotionally.

It is alright to have faith but this is not a religion, it is a business and hence due diligence and factual analysis can be applied.

I have not seen any evidence of Warren Buffett, Bill Gates or Amazon going about actively endorsing Market America or any affiliation with MA, does anyone have any?

So, to be clear Bill Gates, Amazon and Yahoo were early investors of Shop.com and then sold it off to Market America.

If I bought Warren Buffett's old Cadillac could I claim that Buffett was an investor in my company? Of course not!

I am not sure why the Market America (MA) proponents here think that Warren Buffett, Bill Gates or Amazon endorse MA. I googled and couldn't find any connection with Warren Buffett.

As for Bill Gates and Amazon their connection seems to be that MA bought Shop.com of which they were initial investors and the MA buyout was an exit for them. The MA cashback pitch is similar to the old Microsoft Bing Cashback which Microsoft pulled the plug on and another independent article pointed out that Amazon did not buy out Shop.com even though they had been in the acquisition mode for years. The above mentioned investors do not seem to actively endorse MA and they probably only let less informed members draw unsubstantiated conclusions to the business after dropping their names and hinted involvement. Please do a search for "Bill Gates invests in Market America" and draw your own conclusions.

I offer this as an opinion and am happy to change it if others can provide evidence or facts to the contrary.

Simply just saying so or implied innuendo is no basis for rational conclusion. If you are not sure of how to perform online research the National Library of Singapore provides a good methodology for doing so: Source-Understand-Research-Evaluate (SURE).

Reason of review: Name dropping and unsubstantiated affiliations.

Preferred solution: Market America should publicly clarify whether the claims of their representatives that Warren Buffett, Bill Gates or Amazon has any endorsement or affiliations with them..

Market America Cons: Business model, Name dropping of warren buffett bill gates and amazon, Taking advantage of the less educated and experienced people, Obfuscation of cash back and earnings scheme and pyramid system.

They say celebrities promote products, and are actually paying them to come to events. Also ask certain distributors to do reviews.
