Told my wife not to join MA. She lied to me and joined, 3 months later she told me.

She's been working this business for 11yrs. She is still not making the "money" they said she could. They make you pay for training every yr. Basic 5, what a joke.

she had to pay about $300. Month for product. A very few actually make the big money. I've seen lots of divorced couples, the spouses forget they have a family, and are brain washed to do nothing but MA.

Sad. Its a cult. I've seen it.

Of course this is my opinion. But I lived it.

the success rate is actually less than a percent .... 99.6% of ppl who join looses money ... I'm guessing you are part of the 0.4% who profits from everyone's losses =]

Funny how all the supporters of MA resort to insulting those complaining. After doing some research, I canceled my appointment with the sales rep trying to recruit me.

He was a high pressure recruiter trying to convince me, just as I've seen here, that those complaining online are just the "losers" that didn't follow the "business model". Based on the number of detractors compared to supporters, the pyramid scheme seems apparent even in this very forum.

As suggested in a later thread, read about MLMs at www. pyramid scheme alert .com

I'm sorry, but Market America is a cult. A longtime friend of mine got all wrapped up in it.

He took me to a few of the meetings, but as soon as his mentor started pressuring me to come up with a list of 100 people I know and their phone numbers so that we could sit down and call them, I had learned all I needed to learn and bowed out. When I tried to discuss the situation with my friend and explained to him that Market America is nothing more than Amway with a website and to save himself the time, money and personal ruin that these kind of companies can wrought, he stopped talking to me. After several weeks had gone by, I confronted him as to why he no longer was speaking to me, he informed me that Market America had instructed him to eject anyone from his life that expressed any negativity towards his endeavors with the company.

That my friends is the one of the key ingredients of a CULT. If someone from Market America approaches you, my advice is to run.

Market America is the biggest brainwashin cult there is. They want you to treat the business like it already made you rich and put them before your own family and โ€œfriendsโ€ (the ..only friends they want you to have is others in the group) I had a really good friend that I know for over 4 years but donโ€™t talk to me because I refused to go to those brainwashing trips and talk my friends and family into joining we no longer even speak at all

What kind of marriage did you have that your wife could be working a business for 11 years and you not know it? Very odd.

The first line of the post states "Told my wife not to join MA. She lied to me and joined, 3 months later she told me".

Guest

Sounds to me like you're taking out your bitter emotions of a failed marriage onto a scapegoat. She lied to you for 11 years, there's your real issue.

I am considering this company, but now that I realize it is a MLM, absolutely not. My trade is Aesthetics/Make Up Artist.

As such, I am a professional who will decide what products my clients use and I want to offer my clients a few product lines.

The fact that Motives will limit my creativity is an atrocity to the art. Bottom line...don't stifle my talents and/or wallet.

Guest

okay, anonymous, so how much you make daily then if you work in this company???? Hm?

I'd like to see numbers and not guessed ***. I wanna see all of your expenses and the income you make from this so-called "effective" business.

I have heard a lot of reasons for divorce, it boils down to a commitment as well as compromise and honesty. To blame divorce on a business that is NOT A CULT is ridiculous!

The minimum requirements are not $300 a month!!

I have been with company 18 years and made millions! It boils down to following the business model and showing up for work be it 5 hrs or 20 hrs a week.

the success rate is actually less than a half-a-percent .... 99.6% of ppl who join loses money....

but good to know you've scammed enough ppl to join the 0.4%... how much thinking did that take?

...and by the way... everything that offers so call lucrative BV/IBV/or whatever the name...hmmm?

... next time you see that number, its just your cut from MAโ€™s ridiculously over priced products. The magical product they call isotonic can be found at any drug store for "1/2 the Price" miracle health product? How about the words from JR Ridinger's own mouth ....

โ€œselling you the belief" of a miracle product.

So how many hours do you spend on taking advantage of housewives, disadvantaged ppl with less education or lofty dreaming unemployed students? 5hrs? 20hrs? ...

good for you!

How about MA's new initiative to attack the lower tier income families .... soooooo awesome! Now they are offering smaller start-up packages ... just think!

Now poor people have a chance to get even less on their kitchen table, no worries, at least they will have JR's belief to fill their stomach. Of course the light at the end of the tunnel is if they can find more ppl to scam (i.e. other poor ppl within their social class), maybe a few 100 poverty families should do it. Wait, weโ€™re talking about poverty so make that a few 1000 to make it rich.

one more thing ... MA keeps saying that they are not MLM (multi โ€“level-marketing) or Pyramid (scheme) ... I really don't care what you call it ... but the fact is...

the compensations schedule is created with locks to ensure that your efforts and those producing under do not fully benefit from the efforts expended. Remember, you don't get paid until both of your "legs" reach a certain level so too bad if you are only one-leg-profitable.... Traditional MLMs have decreasing tiers of commission but MAโ€™s lock is their binomial system (i.e. 2 legs) and their business unit cap ...

see, same smell different fish... Hey UFOs (unfranchised owners), you must be thinking that because I know so much of your terms that I might be a failed-former. Nope... I am just one of those ppl that JR tells you to avoid...

ppl not smart enough to join MA (but just dumb enough to keep my friends, family and morals). Think again... with a 99.6% failure rate, recommending your friends to make money at the Casino might be the lesser of evils...

for those who canโ€™t resist the allure of knowing about the 0.4% of ppl making money, and you feel the urge to start spending (i.e. turn spending into earning) โ€ฆ โ€œknow you limits, and spend within itโ€

Maybe with a little support and not having to hide the business than she couldve succeeded! I couldn't imagine living a lie for 11 years! I have a very successful MA business and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Guest

When my wife first knew about MA from my friend from Church, she agreed to join. But when I saw all these pages about it being a scam, I immediately told my wife but she didnt believe me!

Once you are sucked into this big SCAM, they have brainwashed you forever.

EXACTLY THEY ARE BIG BRAINWASHING SCAMMERS

Guest

As what you described about your relationship, your marriage would be broken with or without your wife doing Market America. It is not the company's problem, its your own problem. Facing it and don't blame anyone else.

I agree. If you react to every internet posting about a scam and you believe it, you have truly scammed yourself.

This is a legit company and it works if you follow the instructions. Your job is no different. Try looking up "jesus Christ scam".

It's there! They have a scam warning for everything.

Again, supporters insulting complainers - a common theme throughout. Smells like a Cult to me.
